The Athena String Quartet has been active in the Cleveland area since 1998. Athena members embrace many musical styles, having performed locally, regionally, and nationally with groups including the Sarasota Opera, the Pittsburgh Symphony, Rod Stewart, Roberta Flack, the Tanglewood Orchestra, Don Henley, Johnny Mathis, Smokey Robinson, Josh Groban, Cleveland Opera and many others. Tonight’s program includes Quartet no. 12 in F Major, "American" by Antonin Dvorak; "Dear Theodosia" from Hamilton by Lin-Manuel Miranda; Music from the Royal Fireworks by G F Handel; Quartet in C Major, K. 157 by W. A. Mozart; “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen; and ”Stars and Stripes Forever” by J. P. Sousa.
