The traditions of the CIA run deep; those traditions are the basis of the school’s continued growth in concepts that push the limits of what we consider art. Students at the CIA continue to be educated in the foundations of of fine art, from design to drawing. Those foundations are taken to the next level through use of technology. Technology has allowed students to experiment with concepts and materials that would have been unheard of a decade ago; resulting in visually and intellectually challenging work. This show will feature a select group of students from the Cleveland Institute of Art exhibiting their most current and thought-provoking work. The Cleveland Institute of Art is one of the premier art schools in the country, and its students produce work that is on the pulse of what is happening in the art world. This will be a fifth collaboration between Cain Park and the CIA, both institutions striving to keep the arts in the Greater Cleveland Area relevant, accessible, and thriving.
