Lynn Trefzger, a self-taught ventriloquist, brings together amazing figure manipulation and exceptional vocal skills to create a fascinating comedy act which delights young and old throughout the country. Her vocal illusion talents were first brought to national audiences on television's popular 'Star Search' and she has since performed with artists including Jeff Foxworthy, Ray Romano, Drew Carey, and Faith Hill. Girlyman has collaborated with comedian Margaret Cho in co-writing songs for her album, Guitarded. Of Girlyman Cho says 'They seamlessly blend folk, country, pop and rock and they genre bend as fearlessly and flawlessly as they gender-bend.'

GUYS WITH GUITARS: Neil Jacobs, Doug Wood, Tim Farrell
Friday, August 12, 2011. Alma Theater, 7pm. $5 general admission (no discounts), [buy tickets]
Guys With Guitars features three regionally recognizable solo musicians - Neil Jacobs, Doug Wood, Tim Farrell - joining together for a concert event reminiscent of the old Windham Hill Concert Series. Neil Jacobs covers the world vibe with music as diverse and varied as gypsy, world, Balkan, classical and modern fingerstyle guitar while transforming his 12-string acoustic guitar into his own personal orchestra, and sharing his fascinating stories with the audience.
Since his days of performing in the Boston subways in the early 90s, progressive instrumental guitarist Doug Wood has earned the status as one of the premier independent acoustic performers in the country. Tim Farrell's fingerstyle playing and original compositions display an elegant simplicity that celebrates the purity of the acoustic guitar. Tim is a rare kind of musician, with the ability to both entertain an audience and inspire future generations of players.
